Suggestions for Summer Toys & Boston?

Any suggestions for summer (outdoor toys)? I am thinking of buying a baby pool and one of those sand/water tables (see Step2 WaterWheel Activity Table).

Also, we will be going to Boston for a graduation (in 2 weeks time). Any kid friendly places you have been to that can be covered in a day?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

  1. Boston Common is great on a nice day, though the Swan Boats may not go over well at this age -- I brought my twins at 10 months and the boat ride went horribly. Frog Pond playground, the Make Way for Ducklings statues, carousel, plenty of room to run and play.

On a not-nice day, the Children's Museum is supposed to be great though I haven't been there yet.

  2. The New England Aquarium is great for any age, and I've heard that the Boston Children's Museum has something for babies from six months on up. I'd ask if you wanted some company, and the chance to meet a fellow blogger, but I'm expecting my ER to be somewhere around the 18th so I don't think I'll be comfortable slogging around Boston. Have fun!

  3. We got a baby pool, love it so far! It is actually an infant pool, smaller than the normal baby pools. It was only $5 at targ.et. What is a sand/water table?
